Hospitalization Guidelines & Policies

Please refer to the below guidelines and policies before bringing your pet in for a surgical procedure.

 24 Hr. Patient Care

All pets are monitored 24-hours a day by our highly qualified staff members. You will be notified immediately of any changes in your pet’s condition.

Personal Items

During your pet’s stay, we will do everything possible to ensure your pet is comfortable. We will always provide safe and comfortable bedding so each pet has a soft place to lie down. You are more than welcome to leave a special blanket or toy, but we cannot guarantee these items will not be misplaced. For this reason, we ask that you do not leave any personal item that would have significant sentimental or monetary value.

Communication & Patient Updates

Each morning our doctors and staff examine each of our hospitalized patients. We begin making phone calls after 10am, Monday through Friday. If you call the Hospital and ask to speak to the hospitalist but they are unavailable please leave a voicemail with your name and phone number where you can be reached. We will do our best to return your call within a timely manner. We understand it is difficult to be away from your pet. Your pet’s health and safety are very important to us. We will make sure that your pet is comfortable during their stay and if any complications do arise, you will be notified immediately. Again, we understand being away from your pet may be difficult. However, please keep phone calls to a minimum to allow us more time to provide the proper care for your pet during their stay. We ask that you also designate one person to call and receive information regarding your pet while in our care.
